WILL I STILL HAVE AN ELECTRIC BILL?
Yes. But it will be significantly lower. On average most consumers who go Solar produce 80% of their own power and get 20% from their utility company. However, they save even more due to net metering which essentially means that the power company buys or gives you credit for the electricity that you produce above and beyond what you use during the day by installing a meter that runs both ways as electricity is both drawn from and sent to the grid.
We have a warranty on all the equipment and work we do. Panels have a 25-year warranty on them! Also, there’s a workmanship warranty on the work we do and services we provide.

Your roof gets damaged primarily due to sun exposure. At the time of the Site Inspection will determine if a new roof is needed. This hardly ever happens, but people will ask, what if it damages my roof or causes a leak. Again, very uncommon, but the nice thing is we have a warranty on the roof and areas we put the solar. So, if somehow something got damaged, we would fix it.
Moving is the best when you have solar! The new owner can come in and as they qualify for the home loan, qualify for their solar loan. There are even options to wrap it into the mortgage. Or you can pay it off, and raise the asking price of the home.
Solar is viewed as an improvement that increases property value. There have been tons of studies on home values and solar. The most notable is the Berkeley study. Homes sell 33% quicker with solar, and they sell for a premium. They say they increase the value of the home by the retail price of the system!
SELLING HOME SOON OR “WHAT IF NEW BUYER DOESN’T WANT SOLAR?”
Why would they not want solar? I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t want solar, or even if they didn’t you don’t have to sell them the home. It’s like a home with a pool, it’s an improvement, but if a buyer comes in and doesn’t want a pool then you don’t sell them the home. It’s really never a big deal, most people end up on top selling their home if it has solar because it adds equity.
Did you know you that most people pay a different rate during the summer then the winter? During the summer rates are a lot higher per kw than during the winter. So, they charge you more when you need power the most. That’s why your neighbors are going solar so they have the same price no matter how much energy they use.
